All over the UK communities are coming together to support people who are self-isolating. They are finding ways to distribute food effectively while maintaining a physical distance from each other. Simultaneously farmers, growers, food businesses, cafes and restaurants are being forced to rapidly change their businesses both in response to the crisis and for survival. The food systems must adapt quickly.

We are working with food businesses across the country to support this fast transition online. We are supporting businesses to set up an online presence, coordinate with suppliers and other businesses, plan their logistics and get trading online quickly.

How OFN is helping you to respond:

We are coordinating a set of resources on COVID-19 to help food businesses adapt, sharing best practice from around the world.

We are coordinating a set of funding opportunities with resources to help with your community adaptation.

Our support teams are working around the clock to help communities build and plan their online food systems and home delivery. Check out this quick start guide or contact: hello@openfoodnetwork.org.uk.

UPDATE:
We now offer online drop-in calls for anyone who is new to the Open Food Network to have some help with the detail of opening their shopfront and starting to trade. We will be screen sharing. One of our experienced OFN shopfront managers will be sharing their screen, taking questions and walking through all the details of setting up an enterprise. Participants can also share their screen and be helped with anything they are stuck with.
These calls will happen:
· every Monday starting 6th April at 17 BST on this zoom link and
· every Thursday starting 2nd April at 10 BST on this zoom link

Together we are strong!
